Volodymyr Yaroslavskyi is a man on a mission!

Not only does he want his fellow countrymen to fall in love with the food of their native land but he also wants to showcase it to the wider world – as well as inspiring the next generation of chefs.

His path to culinary success was a familiar one – cooking in the family home and then working as a labourer to help pay his way in school.

Volodymyr is also conscious of the importance of helping everyone in a restaurant feel their passion – from the waiters to the cooks to front of house. He has personally been inspired by everyone he’s met on his journey, from big names like Yannick Alleno and Paul Bocuse to those less well known but equally as important.

Now Chef Volodymyr wants to leave his mark on people’s lives and to that end is working on a creating a global franchise operation which will see Ukrainian food introduced to a worldwide audience.

“I dream that all the establishments I create will be filled with guests and give people incredible flavours,” he said.

Experimenting with produce is what drives, not being afraid to introduce new techniques and new experiences.

He believes this is the way forward for Ukrainian food to help it stand out in a modern world.

“I hope that a large cohort of chefs will go in the right direction, glorifying Ukraine and Ukrainian cuisine,” he said.
